School Counselor Chat is Coming in September!

Want to get involved in an exciting school counseling group this year?  If so, consider joining the School Counselor Chat on Twitter each month.  Why join the chat? Well, you can make amazing connections, learn about exciting topics, and gain new friends.

I can't believe this year is the 10th anniversary of #scchat. Just a brief history about #scchat. This group was founded by my colleagues, Dr. Erin Mason and Dr. Danielle Schultz in 2012. Their goal was simple, but ingenious. They wanted to connect school counselors across the country and to present on topics that are important to school counselors.

If you want to know more about the history of #scchat, please watch the video below and see how each of these school counselors personally and professionally benefitted from being in this group.

Below the video, check out the list of knowledgeable and exciting presenters for this year. I am super excited to be back as a co-moderator again!

You can join #scchat the first Wednesday of the month from September - June at 8:30 EST.

Hope to connect with you on Twitter.

  1. People should use mental health therapy during good times because it helps them build their mental health skills. Your past experiences and emotional responses create a pattern which helps you understand your current actions and decisions. The therapy process creates a clear path through your life when everything feels ambiguous while helping you build self-assurance through new experiences. The healing process requires time to complete, but professional assistance can improve outcomes while reducing the sense of isolation. The action represents progress toward achieving a life which brings you greater happiness and satisfaction.
