Sexting is a global phenomenon that can happen between any two individuals, regardless of where they are in the world. In India, however, it often faces social disapproval due to its sexually expressive nature. Cultural norms, traditions, beliefs about purity and holiness, along with factors like gender, age, and societal ideas of "cleanliness," all influence how sexting is perceived.
ReplyDeleteBecause of its sensitive and layered context, it's important to understand what sexting really means. The National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal of India defines sexting as "an act of sending sexually explicit digital images, videos, text messages, or emails, usually by cell phone."
